Hello and welcome!

My name is Richard Körber aka “Shred”. I am the author of the short novel series Infinisomnia.

Writing is not my profession, but my hobby. I am actually a software developer.

A few years ago, I discovered writing for myself. At first, it was just a little experiment. I wanted to find out if I could tell stories.

The result amazed me!

Not only did it work, I was even captivated by my new passion. I couldn’t stop coming up with exciting plots and polishing my sentences until they sparkled.

I also realized that there is not that much difference between writing program code and writing novels. Both require a good concept, structure, endurance, creative solutions and a healthy amount of perfectionism. Sometimes even a little debugging is necessary if a section doesn’t work as hoped.

I care about open source. That’s why my short novels are open (libre), and free for anyone who is interested in exciting adventure stories.

Will I be a famous author one day? That’s not my goal. I just write because I want to learn something new and have fun while doing it.
