There was one thing about this website that had been bothering me for a while. You start reading a story, but even if they are short stories, you may have to interrupt your reading enjoyment. Maybe you fall asleep, get to your train station or your in-laws call. If you open the website later to continue reading, everything is back to the beginning and you have to find the place where you left off.

That is now finally a thing of the past!

As you read the story, the browser now remembers the paragraph that is currently displayed. If you return to the story later, the browser immediately jumps to this paragraph and you can continue from there. All this happens automatically, you don’t need to do anything further.

The reading status is stored in your browser and not sent to the server. However, this also means that the reading status cannot be synchronized between multiple devices. On the other hand, this solution is privacy-friendly.
